Testing your integration

Testing your integration

Once you've built your integration, you might want to test it before going live. This guide will walk you through the steps to test your integration.

Creating a test store

Within the NearSt Partner Dashboard (opens in a new tab) you can manage both your customers' stores and your own test stores. You can request access to the Partner Dashboard by emailing your NearSt account manager.

Developer section of the Partner Dashboard

To create a test store:

  1. Go to the Developers section of the Partner Dashboard.
  2. Under Test shops, click Create.
  3. Choose a name for your test store and press Create shop.

Your new test store will show up in the list, and you can now click the FTP credentials button to view the credentials needed to upload to your test store. If you're using the HTTP upload, the FTP password can be used as the uploadKey.

Click on the store's title to view the store's upload history. The metric to look out for here is the number of In stock & valid barcodes, shown on the right side of the screen.

A number higher than 0 means that NearSt was able to correctly read and process your uploaded file.
